First and foremost, this will be a place for me to rant and air out my thoughts. I can get pretty frustrated sometimes while hashing out ideas and I'm sure that my lovely wife Danielle can only take so many rants.
Next, I hope that this will be a place for both like-minded people and the opposition to civilly debate the issues that I present. As much as I might think that I am right all the time, I'm not.
Finally, I just hope to raise awareness about some of these issues.
Topics of discussion will widely vary but here are some that I already have in mind:
Consumerism in America
The 'Rat Race'
Student Loans
Responsibility
Health Care/Insurance
Health/Fitness/Exercise
Welfare Nation
Corporate Welfare
Agriculture
Banking
Business Practices
Carbon Footprints
Education
Sustainability
There will be many more topics and each of the topics above will have many sub-topics.
About me: I have no formal training or education on any of the topics above. I have two closely related bachelors degrees in Geography and Geographic Information Systems. I pretty much have a history bachelors degree as well but not quite. I have some schooling in education and I hated it. I have always been a pretty average student and my grades have been entirely based upon my interest in the topics and not on the supposed difficulty of the matter. I only went to and finished college because I loved to run on the track and cross country teams at South Dakota State. Most of my ideas are backed by life experiences and my own reading, I read a lot. I have never voted and don't have any real political affiliation. I'm afraid of getting drafted for jury duty and don't trust politicians as I think that the man with the most money and the best speaking voice usually wins. Some of my views may go one way and some of them may go another way and some of them might be off the charts.
